Luke Sick writes:

Looks like we’re heading out to Minneapolis for another fiasco at the Triple Rock. Last year gurpo promoter Skell brought DJ Quest, Topr, and myself out to wreck the house which we did with Doomtree affiliate Sims and partied all night with domestic beer and party favors galore with gurpos from MN and Wis-compton. It was ill… I think Topr almost froze to death and was only saved by his trusty Swiss army knife as he cut through Skell’s screen and broke into his house, making it to the plane just before they closed the door. I had a blast and I’m glad to be asked back. This time we are bringing Z-Man and playing with MN’s own, Kanser. The last time I saw those guys I was smoking E blunts with Rev-Cope (fucking true). Z-Man is going to channel the spirit of the Cisco Cyclops– you’ll recognize that one-eyed demon when you see him. And if you didn’t know: It’s relly Skell’s birthday that night, so we’re pulling out all the stops. No holds barred, we’re holding no bars. You know it’s been like a year for us and Z ain’t been there in a minute either, so tell all the creepy crawly Twamp Cities gurprats: we wanna party like those Vikings on that booze cruise did. G.C. is comin to the Lakes, relly!

“MY VAN” MC Oroville Produce by: G Pek Feat. Luke Sick, Topr, Conceit, & Brandon B

Lord Facials writes:

It’s been about 3 years in the making, and the same amount of scrapped together computers used in the process, but finally it’s here: Do Something, MC Oroville’s follow-up to the Gurp City classic From The Land Of Mountains That Are Flat. There have been many lost sessions in the all the computer problems, dating back to the original Ranch basement, but for the most part Do Something consists of a string of recordings that began after the first Tall Can Olympics Marathon (hence, the first song recorded being “Tall Can Champ”). Everything was super no budget, down to the freezer bag of shake that catalyzed the album and died as the last songs were finished, and there were many long nights in Bomb Shelter aka Ranch III. White Paul and myself didn’t really have anything to make beats on, so we ended up sampling shit into Audition, chopping it, looping and piecing it together manually…you can probably tell, but fuck it. Oroville wrote most of the songs on the spot, and recorded them in a few takes, if that. He was in prime form for these sessions and was dubbed a Young Tyson, and I think listeners will be able to hear how he has improved since the first album. Thug E Fresh, who was responsible for salvaging all the lost files throughout the years, would recruit Oroville to record all the good sounding posse cuts with all the other Gurp City All-Stars. In short, that is the history of Do Something. What started as a mixtape, kinda, turned into an album, kinda. It was a good time, a lot of fun nights of shake blunts and cheap malt liquor, and I think that translates clearly. Do Something, fucker.
